Choose a Prize that Aligns with Your Ideal Customer

When selecting a prize, it's essential to keep your ideal customer in mind. 

The prize you choose should reflect something that your ideal customer would be interested in. 

Think of the prize as a filter to help bring in the right type of people. 

Avoid prizes that everyone could benefit from, as these may attract the wrong type of people.

Effective Prizes

The two types of prizes that have been highly effective in my campaigns are coupons and product giveaways.

A coupon prize is a percent off a purchase, and it costs nothing to fulfill. The coupon code can be sent via email, and it's redeemable at your store after the giveaway has ended. 

This prize is highly effective because it attracts people who are interested in purchasing from your store. 

Coupons are also an excellent way to create brand loyalty and can turn one-time customers into repeat customers.

Product giveaways can also be effective, but they can be costly to fulfill. 

When choosing a product, make sure it aligns with your ideal customer. 

For example, when I sold woodworking plans for firewood sheds, a moisture meter would be a good prize to give away. 

A firewood enthusiast would be interested in this prize, and it would attract the right type of people to your business.

Creating an Effective Campaign

To create an effective campaign, you'll need to set a specific goal, such as doubling your email list. 

Once you have your goal, you'll need to create a landing page that explains the rules of the giveaway and showcases the prize. 

You'll also need to create a form for participants to enter their email address. 

Promote your giveaway on social media and through email marketing to attract as many participants as possible.
